Day 2 - "Tennessee, Tennessee There ain't no place I'd rather be Baby won't you carry me Back to Tennessee"

Today's Route:

273 miles

Headed out from Clyde, NC at about 10 am

Heading through the Smokies

Lot of trucks through these hills, it's strange being the slowest vehicle on the road

Hello dad!

Arrived in Nashville,
Maddy loves the hotel bed

Downtown Nashville from the Hotel,
Maddy and I went to explore the city

The Country Music Hall of Fame

The Titans football stadium

Downtown Nashville from the Shelby Street Bridge

I didn't go in here, but I should have

Found a brewery in Nashville, go figure...

Some damn fine beers

Maddy having her sauce

They even have a tower bottle washer (you homebrewers will appreciate this)

This speaks for itself

This is the best sign I've ever seen

Ending the night...

Easy drive today from Clyde, NC to Nashville, TN, about about 270 miles. Downtown Nashville was great, but you could tell they were still recovering from the flood. The owner of Blackstone Brewery gave me their recipe for their English IPA, which was amazing, so now I can try to clone that. Tomorrow is the first long leg, from Nashville to Russellville, AR where we'll be camping.

P.S. - Why our government is broken
